'Bernadotte' Silver Plate Flatware Service for Six by Georg Jensen - EPNS
'Bernadotte' Silver Plate Flatware Service for Six by Georg Jensen - EPNS
Designed in 1936 by Swedish Prince Sigvard Bernadotte, this eponymous pattern has ribbed handles evocative of the stripped Classicism popular at that time. Made of silver-plated metal for Danish retailer Georg Jensen, this flatware set comprises, six dinner knives (with stainless blades), six luncheon/salad forks, six dessert forks, six soup spoons, and six teaspoons (30 pieces total). Each pieces marked ‘GEORG JENSEN DENMARK E.P.N.S.’
Each knife measures 8 3/4 inches; each teaspoon measures 6 3/4 inches.
Overall, the set is in good, useable condition, but the pieces have been used over the years and show the usual signs of wear including light scuffs and scratches, and tiny dings to some edges. Please be in touch if you would like more photos.
