Jane and Gordon Martz Stoneware and Walnut Lamp Marshall Studios, Speckled Beige Glaze
Midcentury ceramic table lamp designed by Jane and Gordon Martz for Marshall Studios of Indiana. The stoneware body is molded with protruding band near the top and has a speckled neutral glaze, mounted with a walnut neck and with original walnut finial. Signed 'Martz' at back near cord hole.
Overall height to top of finial is just under 24 inches high; 13 1/2 inches high to top of walnut neck, 16 inches high to top of socket, about 6 1/4 inches diameter through the midsection.
Overall condition of the base is good, with no chips or cracks, variation and dripping in the glaze at the neck. The wood components have a dark finish, and the finial has a few tiny losses at the edge.
The lamp is in working condition with its original wiring.
The last image shows the lamp with a period shade, which is not included, but for reference, shade is 11 inches high, 12 inches diameter at the top, 13 inches at the bottom.
