Milliner’s wood hat mold, probably for a beret or similar hat. The four pieces dovetail to the center block and lift off vertically (careful when you pick it up, be sure to lift from the bottom piece). Dates to the 1930s or '40s--some of newspaper on the inside mentions Hitler (and Cleveland, Ohio, but not together!)

Measures about 8 3/4 inches high, 8 1/2 diameter. Stamped letter and numbers around base.

Some scratches and wear, small losses at the edges, with larger losses to the top of one of the smaller pieces.
