Near Pair of Mid Century Modern Brass Lamps with Pierced Shades 1950s 1960s
Two mid-century modern brass lamps, each with three pierced, spherical shades on staggered height supports. Each base is heavily weighted, and the switch turns on one, two, or all three lights. These lamps are nearly a pair, but not an exact match--you can see the design at the bottom of the supports is slightly different on each.
These take very small, low wattage bulbs (I will include the bulbs)--if you need a lamp to illuminate an entire room, these are not the right lamps.
Each measures about 15 1/4 inches high, 7 1/2 inches diameter of base. Unmarked, probably 1950s.
Overall condition is good. There is wear and dark spots to the finish, and scratches to the lacquered surface. One lamp (on the left in the first image) has more wear than the other, particularly on the top surface of the base. The lamps are working, but the wiring and plugs are old--I recommend having them rewired by a professional electrician.
