Vintage Jack Lenor Larsen Cotton Velvet Pillows - Primavera Caravan
Vintage Jack Lenor Larsen Cotton Velvet Pillows - Primavera Caravan
Group of five vintage pillows by Jack Lenor Larsen in two of his signature printed cotton velvets. Primavera, designed in 1959 by Don Wight, and Caravan, designed in 1963 by Anita Askild, became iconic for their exuberant, colorful patterns which were available in a number of colorways. These are period cushions, not new pillows made from old fabric.
This group of cushions has provenance in Europe, where Larsen opened his first international outpost in Zurich in 1963. The blue pillow bears the label of this Zurich location. Each pillow is sewn shut (no zipper closure) and is filled with feathers and/or down.
Measurements (these are pretty small, check the sizes):
Largest pink/orange rectangle: 15 x 22 1/4 inches
